The down and dirty, Friday List

So - It's Friday. It's windy... and just because - I am going to give you the down and dirty list of things going through our minds this morning.

1. The strawberry plants have been covered with frost protective sheets. This keeps the blooms safe on cold windy days and cold still nights.
2. We are on track for berries in mid April.
3. Next week (barring no snow event on Tuesday) we are planning to plant broccoli plants and should be harvesting that in about 45 days. This is about the same time as the berries.
4. Henry needs a camera to send more pictures to me to update the blog :)
5. With fertilizer and lime season starting - we really hope it doesn't rain or snow on Tuesday - but if farmers could choose the weather - we'd be better off.
6. It's almost time to do ground prep work for our early veggie plantings.
7. In about a month - you should be seeing pink in the trees up here as the peach blossoms usually come in late March.
8. We are super excited about this season!

That's it... We hope everyone enjoys the weekend. Do something in to enjoy the sunshine (but don't start too early - the mornings are going to be cold!)
