I haven't posted any recipe's on the blog before - but there are two already on our website if you're wondering why the title of this post is "Recipe #3.
Today is a simple - but delicious recipe. It is the perfect end to a spring dinner on your deck.
Strawberry Cobbler.
You probably already have everything you need, except some of our delicious strawberries - so come get them today and you'll be set.
Here goes.
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 stick of butter melted
3 cups (or as many as you like) of Gramling Farms Strawberries
Rinse and slice the berries.
Mix the first three ingredients in a bowl and pour into a lightly greased 8X8 baking dish.
Spoon the sliced berries onto the batter (do not mix together)
Pour butter over the top.
Bake for about 35 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
Top with cool whip or ice cream if you like. (I like!)
This is a good dessert that is not too sweet, and not too filling that it'll ruin a great spring supper with the season's first vegetables. Speaking of - we have potatoes, onions, tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers in our market now along with our regular supply of organic double yolk eggs and fresh cut sharp cheddar.
Hope to see you soon at Gramling Farms!
